 New Film with Patrice Leconte
 
In December 2006, film director Patrice Leconte announced he will once again work with Vanessa and screenwriter/director Serge Frydman. Leconte told the Sydney Morning Herald in June 2007, "I told Vanessa I would make another movie with her and I've always wanted to make a musical." 

Leconte is currently writing the script for this new film with Frydman, who directed Vanessa in 2005’s Mon Ange. In addition to Vanessa, the cast for this film will include Alain Chabat. Filming is expected to begin sometime in 2008. 

Leconte and Vanessa previously worked together on the 1998 action movie, Une chance sur deux (Half a Chance) and on the 1999 romantic drama, La fille sur le pont (A Girl on the Bridge). Frydman co-wrote the scripts to both films.
