 Vanessa returned to the stage in Paris on February 6, 2007. It was to sing at a charity event held at the Olympia to raise money for the new Soldidarité Sida charity,
Fonds Solidarité Sida Afrique.
Vanessa took to the stage with –M- (Matthieu Chedid) to perform three songs: Vanessa’s Pourtant and M’s Le radeau and Mama Sam. Among the other artists appearing on stage that night were Cali, Tiken Jah Fakoly, Jean-Louis Aubert, MC Solaar, and Louis Bertignac.
The event was put together by Antoine de Caunes, honorary president of Solidarité Sida, and sponsored by Vanessa and Yannick Noah as a “thank you” to the first donors to the new charity fund. There were 250 guests at the event, including community and business leaders.
